Helpline

Our Helpline is staffed by independent domestic abuse advocacy caseworkers who offer free, confidential one-on-one support to women in need. In addition to providing open-ended emotional support, the Helpline also offers guidance and signposts BAME women to relevant services that address their specific needs.

Through advocacy, compassion, and unwavering dedication, AWESO is making a tangible difference in the lives of women affected by domestic abuse. Together, we are breaking the cycle of violence and working towards a future where women can live with dignity, respect, and safety.

About Us

Amani Women’s Empowerment & Support Organisation (AWESO) is a specialist organisation, committed to empowering, supporting, and advocating for Black, Asian, and Minority Ethnic (BAME) women survivors of, or at risk of domestic abuse. Based in the UK and led by and for Black, Asian, and minoritised women, AWESO is dedicated to providing holistic, culturally sensitive, and trauma-informed domestic abuse services to women from BAME communities.
