Evelyn (Eve) Kamau (she/her) – Senior Director, Decentralized clinical Trials, Thermo Fisher Scientific Eve is a Senior Director in the Accelerated enrolment Solutions (AES) department of Thermo Fisher Scientific and SME for community-based clinical trials. She has been a nurse for over 24 years, with both UK and international nursing experience. Eve has a special focus in decentralized clinical trials where she has helped support over 100 clinical trials, in the home environment over the past 10 years. She won the Black British Business 2023 award for Senior Leader in Science, Engineering, Mathematics and Technology (STEM). Outside of work, Eve is involved in promoting STEM education in schools and colleges with a view to promoting careers in STEM, especially in underrepresented groups. She is also passionate about supporting mental health awareness, sharing her insights through talks and small group discussions, and has contributed to raising awareness about postnatal depression within her community.

Amani Women’s Empowerment & Support Organisation (AWESO) is a specialist organisation, committed to empowering, supporting, and advocating for Black, Asian, and Minority Ethnic (BAME) women survivors of, or at risk of domestic abuse. Based in the UK and led by and for Black, Asian, and minoritised women, AWESO is dedicated to providing holistic, culturally sensitive, and trauma-informed domestic abuse services to women from BAME communities.
